Harper's story (book 4) is the best of the series. Lots of sparkling dialogue, hot sex scenes, with nice splashes of mystery. Harper is a rich Manhattan socialite and Caleb is working class Bronx police detective. He's investigating her robbery and is annoyed by who he thinks she is, because strings were pulled to get him, the precinct's best on the case. Annoyance and off the charts sexual attraction result in the usual he\she explosions topped great verbal and later on literal sparring between the two.Zoe Dawson is rapidly becoming one of my favorite authors. I can count on her to build a romance that has both the sweet and the sad moments of life, peopled with great human and animal characters. This one was full of fun surprises, has moderate violence, and nice if not spectacular ending. Since the series includes a wedding novella related to each of the first three couples, I'll assume Harper and Caleb's is on its way. I hope the author will consider bundling them under one price. Because while I didn't mind paying full price for bks 3&4 (bk 1 is free) , they're just that good, I think novellas should be priced appropriately, due to their brevity. Secondary characters figured prominently throughout the series, so I hope Nate, Ian, and Aiden will get their own stories as well. I am not animal person, but I thoroughly enjoyed this series and can understand why people so love their animal companions.

I read all her books! I LOVE the series about the girlfriends. Each one different. I enjoyed how they met their future husbands. Of course, I loved the dogs in the story too. Easy reading and very enjoyable.
I love this series and I think Harper's stories was the best yet. Harper had a hard time opening up until she meets detective Caleb when done valuables including a really expensive dog collar. They met sparks fly and a lovely story ensues.
U have loved each of this series so far. I love the Dog Park four & the men they have fallen in love with + I am wildly in love with their beautiful dogs.
I really enjoyed this book. Actually I have enjoyed the whole series. I will read these again.
I would like to encourage Ms. Dawson to work on the editing, at times pretty distracting.
I love the 4 main characters. They're strong and intelligent and they truly love and care about each other. Of course such strong and beautiful women much have strong and handsome men. And they do..believe me they do. I'm a dog lover so I also enjoyed the interaction between the humans and the dogs. I'm hoping that Zoe Dawson will come up with # 8 soon. In Collared, the plot focuses on Harper and Blue, her standard poodle. Robbery, possible harm to Blue, and Harper's independent streak all contribute to the twists of the story. Toss in a sexy police detective and Collared becomes more of a steamy romance novel than it is a dog story...a well-written page turner if you don't mind more human relationships than dog ones. Collared continues the relationships of Harper and her loyal dog-park friends, highlighting good things about strong female ties. Zoe Dawson is a bit outside the "dog story" genre, but in Collared, it is just fine.
This story has everything. It has romance, suspense and humor (picture it, a big bad cop surrounded by tiny hyperactive fairies at a tea party).
Caleb gets pulled off of sick leave to investigate a robbery at Harpers' penthouse. He thinks she's a snob and she thinks he's a caveman. They didn't like each other at first but the attraction is there just below the surface.
Because of her money Harper keeps the world at arms length. The only people that really get her are her dog Blue and her gal pals (they along with their pets have their own books, check them out it's worth it). Caleb is a single hard working cop. The only serious relationship he has is with his dog Quinn.
As a couple, Caleb and Harper along with their dogs face a bumpy road to love. Can they make it work? The only way to find out is to read the book.
